Kettle Brand Bakes Potato Chips
Yup, those were the first words out of my mouth when I tasted the Sea Salt flavor of the new Kettle Brand Bakes Potato Chips. The new Bakes version of the Kettle Brand chips are just like the regular Kettle chips in texture, but have 65% less fat.
I was really impressed with the flavor and texture of the chips, especially seeing how Kettle Brand slices real potatoes and toasts them to achieve that powerful crunch and yumminess without the excess fat.
I love baked chips and have tried a bunch before, not realizing that many of the chips out there are made from potato flakes pressed together to make a chip. Not exactly wholesome if you ask me.
I'm glad to have a new tasty chip option at the store that's lower in fat, made from non-GMO ingredients and gluten-free. Of all the flavors I tried from the batch the Kettle folks sent along, I have to say Sour Cream and Onion was my favorite. The flavor is the classic Sour cream and Onion flavor you expect, with the added crunchiness of the baked chip.

The Cheddar & Roasted Tomato flavor, while good, wasn't really my favorite. You definitely get a lot of cheese flavor, with a hint of tomato and a parsley finish, but it just didn't do it for me. My only wish was that I got to try some of the non-dairy options besides the Sea Salt flavor since I'm lactose intolerant, but for you dairy lovers out there you have some good options here.
