We started with an order of spring rolls, which I haven't had in a long time because most places use wheat flour based rice paper (secret wheat!)  to make their spring rolls, but Zadin uses 100% rice paper. The rolls came with the standard, yet delicious dipping sauce and of course Sriracha, my all-time favorite condiment.

We followed up the appetizers with an order of Shaking Beef (topped with sweet potato fries), and two bowls of pho. I opted for the coconut milk version (Pho Bo Sate) because I've never had it that way before and Mr. misterbelly went for the standard bowl of Pho Bo. Both were quite good, and I couldn't decide which one I liked better. The Pho Bo was rich and flavorful and mine had the added bonus of the creamy coconut milk.

The Shaking Beef (Bo Luc Lac), while good, wasn't exactly the way I like Shaking Beef. I happen to love making it at home and like the recipe I use better than what I ate at Zadin. Sorry guys!

(Pardon the blurry photos. It was a bit dim inside.)
