Don Pisto's offers a bottomless booze menu with their brunch which makes it a quite popular brunch destination, but don’t be fooled! Bottomless booze sounds good on paper, but you have to drink at least 3 cocktails to make it worth your money. If you're in it to win it then go for it, but if you usually cap yourself at two drinks for brunch you might want to just order your drinks a la carte. Oh…stay away from the mimosa. It's mostly juice and I wasn't keen on it. The sangria was good, albeit a little watered down, but still enough to get a good buzz on.

Anyway, on to the food! I ordered the huevos rancheros as a main dish, and al pastor tacos to share. In hindsight, I wish I had gotten an order of al pastor tacos just for myself because they were slammin’! I have been pining after a good al pastor taco since I visited San Diego a few years ago and had some that blew me away.

Ever since then they have paled in comparison, but Don Pisto's Al Pastor tacos were a strong contender. The sweetness from the pineapple was mellow, and the pork was full of fantastically rich flavor; almost chorizo-like.

I don't throw this word around often, but when I do take note because I really mean it. The tacos were delicious.
