My favorite cassava chips have a totally revamped look and name. You've probably seen Arico Cassava Chips at your local niche food or Whole Food stores, but I did a double take when I saw an email from them recently, announcing their makeover to CrispRoot.
Their packaging is eye catching and modern, and they've added ridges to the chips, making them a bit more substantial looking. The flavors are still the same - Sea Salt, Original, BBQ Bliss (my fave) and Ginger, but I'm intrigued as to whether or not the flavors will be more intense with the ridges. Cassava chips are healthier than their potato counterparts and these in particular have 30% less fat and double the fiber, so you can munch away without feeling guilty. They are also gluten, wheat, dairy and casein free. Have you seen or tried the new CrispRoot chips yet?
